The teaser for Avatar: The Way of Water was released recently and immediately piqued audiences’ interest. The teaser release was a huge hit, and the numbers reflect how big of a fanbase the film has after almost a decade. James Cameron’s epic science fiction serves as a sequel to the 2009 film Avatar, and is thus referred to as Avatar 2.
Avatar 2, which is being produced by 20th Century Studios, will see Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaa, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, CCH Pounder, and Matt Gerald reprise their roles from the 2009 film. Sigourney Weaver will appear in this film as well, but in a different role. In addition to Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, Brendan Cowell, Michelle Yeoh, Jemaine Clement, Oona Chaplin, Vin Diesel, and CJ Jones, there is a new addition to the existing cast.
The teaser for Avatar: The Way of Water received around 148.6 million views in the first 24 hours after its release, with China being a major contributor. These views, however, are only for the teaser video that was released on YouTube and other social media platforms. The teaser trailer was first shown in theatres before the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. As a result, one can only assume that the teaser trailer was viewed by millions of people around the world.
