The studio that brought you the world-famous Demon Slayer anime is collaborating with Hoyoverse to create a Genshin Impact anime.
On the occasion of a live event marking the release of version 3.1 of the video game Genshin Impact, Chinese society Hoyoverse (MiHoYo) has announced a “long-term collaborative project” with the Japanese animation studio Ufotable, which is well-known for producing the anime Demon Slayer.
Although the project’s format, release date, or production team have not yet been revealed, a first conceptual trailer has been released!
This includes some landscapes directly inspired by the video game, the first appearance of Paimon – the little guide who accompanies the players from the beginning of their adventure -, and the two amnesiac adventurers that the player can embody.
To recap, Genshin Impact is a video game developed and published by MiHoYo that has been available worldwide since September 2020 on Android, iOS, PC, PS4 and PS5.
A brother and sister are abruptly separated by an unknown goddess who takes care to erase their memories in the fantastic world of Teyvat, where elemental energy and magic flow freely.
After being stripped of his abilities, the player embarks on a long journey across the world in search of answers from the Seventhe elemental gods at the root of everything.
A fantastic universe awaits you, filled with colourful characters and creatures as mysterious as they are dangerous! Will you be able to find the person you were separated from and solve the world’s puzzles?
This animation project is based on MiHoYo’s video game Genshin Impact.
