Previous Chapter Recap!
Kingdom Chapter 728 began with Shin accompanying Han Zen to inspect the Siege Tower. The men in Shin’s army were initially concerned about Han Zen’s presence in opposing territory. The men deduced that Kanki had requested that they meet in Gian. Shin was astounded to learn that such things were taking place behind his back. Shin then met with Ten privately so that they could decide whether or not to trust this man.
Because taking a leap of faith was their only option. They discovered that they had ten thousand men in total. As a result, capturing Gian would be easier. Suddenly, a swarm of giant soldiers appeared in front of them. They were, however, Saki Clan men, not enemies. The chapter concluded with a major revelation about Kanki.
Kingdom 729 Chapter Reddit Spoiler
Spoilers for Kingdom Chapter 728 Kanki is one of the Saki Family’s eldest members, as Naki revealed during the most recent outing. Throughout the plot, there isn’t much background information on Kanki. Shin had no idea Kanki was one of Saki’s men until he ran into them. Despite the fact that this disclosure aids them in their current battle, it is undeniably a betrayal on Kanki’s part.
Kingdom Chapter 729 will begin when Shin acknowledges this reality and discusses it with Ten. Shin had no time to argue with Kanki because the stakes were so high. As a result, the army will collaborate with the Saki clan to plan the siege using the newly discovered clan soldiers. As a result, the conquest of Gian City will begin.

Shin appears to be aware that China’s unification will not be an easy process, but he is unaware that this is one of those instances in which there is no time for his ” Justice ” in enemy territory when his own troops are being injured.
Kanki isn’t concerned with Shin’s morals, so he occasionally misses the big picture when Shin engages in potentially disastrous behaviour.
Is it really necessary for him to give Kanki and the Saki clan free rein? Although it is obvious that he will fail, what can he do to stop them?
What can he do to prevent this from happening? Expect threats such as “I’ll kill you.” What concrete steps can he take to put a stop to this? I’m curious about any solutions he may have.

Kingdom Chapter 729 Discussion
It was more surprising than stunning when Naki asked for an explanation of the story when he removed the helmet at the end of the previous chapter.
The next chapter will be thrilling to read, and the description will make you shiver. We’ll have to wait until the next chapter is published.
Naki was brilliantly cunning here!
He predicted that the Saki clan would go to Gian no matter what because they are a loyal clan. Worst case scenario, they would engage in heavy fighting with HSU, leaving both sides wounded and HSU potentially facing reprimand after the war.
But how can Shin (and the HSU) be soothed? He proposes that they reveal Kanki’s mysterious backstory in exchange for “letting them go to Gian,” because if the Saki clan is going to end up there anyway, why not play a high hand? It’s a brilliant win-win opportunity to reveal Kanki and the Saki clan’s secret, calm Shin down, and save the HSU all at the same time.
Not only that, but if he plays the words correctly, they might even be able to persuade the Saki clan not to torture in exchange for assisting them in taking over Gian.
- Calm both parties down.
- Proposes a “exchange” in order to collaborate in taking down Gian (which they would probably have to do eventually anyways)
- Discover Kanki’s mysterious past.
- See the Saki leader’s lovely face (bonus!)
Profit. Naki you sly bastard
Edit: I also wanted to mention that one of the reasons the Saki clan leader feels obligated to tell Naki all of this is because she was the Saki member who was with Kanki the night before the battle when Naki came to warn him. Despite his departure from the Kanki army, she could tell that Naki still cared about Kanki.
He did it before, and the King has already threatened him; there is a single clan of about 100 people; kill them all, and you won’t have to worry about Shin and the two death angels.
N look at them, if we’re talking about real stuff here during war, yeah the guards and most of the people able to fight would be left but this is also after someone killed every Army person I would imagine it would still be on high alert that once a person is tortured all they have to do is choose the wrong person plan failed.
Consider Kanki Men, who was tortured and said nothing.
To be honest, it led to their demise, or at least the demise of the enemy army, and he didn’t even need to do that; he could have simply run away and the plan would have worked fine, but they have this need to torture people.
Shin must adapt and mature, and recognise that if he goes with only his unit and Gaku ka, he will be saying goodbye to a lot more of his men than he realises at the moment.
The thing is, that still has to be something they both have to do, and a lot of this stems from Kanki’s plans of simply not giving a fuck.
Shin sensed something was off and even became agitated about it, but no, a countermeasure was implemented; you could argue that it wouldn’t have mattered in the end, but him being in charge of all of them means that he should share plans with them.
He didn’t, their initial plan was rudimentary, this plan normally just throws his men in a meat grinder, then comes up with something on the fly, sure he could have a contingency plan here and there, but a lot of it mostly relies on going after the social weaknesses of the people he’s fighting.
His allowing an extreme number of his men to die despite knowing that only by chance shin n his men kinda survived means that only through their methods can he see his plan through; it’s because of the way his men operate and how he leads them that they survived the whole let’s run in there torture a bunch of people and then take it over thing.
Isn’t going to work if it’s the entire Kanki army, but it’s not going to work if it’s the other way around, would Kanki not do the torture nonsense, maybe, but maybe not.
Kanki barely respects the king, so the whole leadership nonsense and hierarchy nonsense is moot, especially coming from a guy who tried to threaten the counsellor in front of the king, he fails here the king “WILL KILL HIM,” so the best way to do this is to compromise both sides need to come to an agreement, both, you can argue and say that shin would need to let them do whatever, why? To incite people to fight against them in order to have them expelled from the city?
If the Zhao isn’t written to be complete idiots, they’d start being wise to kanki methods, ppl purposefully give out fake information for these exact reasons, even riboku men got surprised attack trying underhanded means, shin is right to let them know shit ain’t going to be the way yall normally do things because there’s a good chance, it’ll be harder this time.
To begin, how would RBK attack Gian if he lacked siege weapons? The HSU/GKH would be under siege for months, and they could theoretically pull a Kanki and evict everyone to make it easier to hold the city. No siege equipment, for example, buys the Qin forces an extra week or so. Also, I believe the Saki clan has only 100-300 members, with a maximum of 1000. The siege gear team would most likely bring in 1-2k more troops. Now, this is similar to Sai, but we have more HSU troops and no civies, and I believe we will have fewer wounded deaths as a result of the presence of the Saki clan (you know how to inflict pain you know how to stop it)
Honestly, RBK is screwed if Gian falls. It all depends on how much damage Kanki inflicts on the Zhao forces, who are the ambushing army. It’s possible that RBK sieges Gian and Kanki limits their attack numbers with sneak attacks on siege gear.
